Qeleshe hat in raw wool

Qeleshe hat – inspired with traditional Albanian hats called qeleshe or pils. This form has been handed down from Illyrian times and the height and shape of the cap varies region to region. There are many ways to make the plis but it is always hand made. The most common way, in Kosovo, is using soap on the wool.
This one is hand knitted with raw polish wool and then hand felted using the Albanian soap techniques. The process lasts three days. Two other shorter hats, inspired with the northern headwear, will be available on my website at the end of the week.
It’s 19 cm tall. The size is made for order.
